Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Scholarships 2020-21, Application Form, Last Date & Eligibility Criteria

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Scholarships are available for Ph.D. studies in India. Ministry of Human Resource Development has introduced this scholarship in 1987. It's also known as Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship. Candidates holding first-class Postgraduate degrees and have been registered for the PhD program are eligible to apply. The scholarship is available for pursuing a doctoral program in Sociology, Indian History and Civilization, Geography, Philosophy, Comparative Studies in Religion and Culture, Economics, Ecology, and Environment.

Eligibility Criteria for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship Yojana

Students wishing to apply for this scholarship have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• This scholarship is open for Indian nationals or nationals of other Asian countries.
• A candidate must be pursuing a full-time Ph.D. program.
• An applicant must be holding a first-class postgraduate degree and must have secured at least 60% marks in graduation and post-graduation.
• A candidate must be registered or admitted for a Ph.D. degree from a recognized institution of India.
• The maximum age of the candidate is restricted to 35 years.

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Scholarships Reward:

• The scholars will get maintenance allowance along with the tuition fee of INR 18,000/- per month.
• Also, the selected candidates will receive INR 15,000/- per annum for contingent expenses for study tours, books, study materials, etc.

Application form of Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Scholarships 2020 is available now. Aspirants must submit the form on or before 31st Aug 2020. The Interview program will be held in the month of November/December. The scholarship will start in January every year.
