Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship 2021-23 is a Certificate Program in Public Policy and Management that is offered by IIMs. It is also supported by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India and is implemented with the State Skill Development Mission. Upon successful completion of the course, you will get a certificate of Public Policy and Management offered by IIMS
What is Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship?
The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship 2021-23 is a two years opportunity for the young academically strong candidates of UG and PG degrees to contribute to the economic development of the country. Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship Program 2021 is a two-year fellowship that offers classroom sessions that include an academic module of IIM with an intensive field exposure at the district level (district immersion) and identifying the barriers in raising employment, economic output, and promotion livelihoods in rural areas.
The applications will be disseminated in more than 660 districts across India. The program will be organized by 9 IIMS (Ahmadabad, Bangalore Jammu, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Ranchi, Udaipur, and Vishakhapatnam) with IIM Bangalore managing the common admission process. The selected candidates will get a monthly stipend of up to INR 60,000.

Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship 2021-23 Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Indian Citizen.
- The age gap should be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years at the time of application.
- Must be a graduate or a post-graduate from a recognized university in streams like Law, medicine, engineering, social sciences.
- Must be having three years of work experience after completing secondary school in the social /non-profit sector who are working in rural areas.
- Candidates with no work experience but who have confidence and motivation to work can apply.
- Must know the local language of the state in which they will be working.
Mahatma Gandhi Fellowship 2021-23 Rewards
INR 50,000 stipend per month for 1 year and INR 60,000 for 2nd year. One also is getting a Certificate in Public Policy and Management once they will complete the program.

- Sign by filling in the registration details like mobile number and email Id.
- Then log in and fill in other details.
- Pay the application fees and apply.

- Marksheet of 10th, 12th, and graduation or PG (if done PG).
- Statement of purpose of 800 words.

The selection process of the Mahatma Gandhi fellowship 2021-23
The selection will be done based on a written exam in which there will be 100 multiple-choice questions. The paper will be consisting of subjects like General awareness, quantitative ability, data interpretation, and logical reasoning and Verbal Ability, and reading comprehension.
Terms and Conditions of the Mahatma Gandhi fellowship 2021-23
- Up to 75 fellows can be selected for the Mahatma Gandhi national fellowship.
- The selected candidate must be able to write, read or convert the local language.
- Mahatma Gandhi Fellowship application fee is INR 500.
