NEC Merit Scholarship Tripura 2020-21, Eligibility Criteria, Last Date Application Form

NEC Merit Scholarship Tripura 2021-22 opens a platform for the students who are permanent residents of Tripura and are willing to pursue their higher studies. The scholarship is offered by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Tripura with the aim to provide financial assistance to the students of the North Eastern Region undergoing higher studies like a Diploma to Ph.D. inside or outside the region. The scheme is basically for professional /technical/management/M.Phil courses.  The selected students under NEC Scholarship will receive a good stipend yearly.

Eligibility For NEC Merit Scholarship Tripura 2021-22 

To apply for NEC Merit Scholarship Tripura 2020, you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Must be a permanent resident of Tripura.
• Must have scored minimum marks of minimum 70% (for general) and 60% marks (sc/st candidates).
• The family income of a candidate must be a minimum of 4.5 lakh P/A from all the sources.
• Must not be getting any other scholarship.

NEC Merit Scholarship 2021-22 Rewards

The students will get stipend under different courses. The list of awards as follows:

• For Diploma level course – INR 20,000 per annum.
• For Degree level course – INR 22,000 per annum.
• For PG courses – INR 25,000 per annum.
• For M. Phil/Ph.D.- INR 30,000 per annum.

How to Apply for NEC Merit Scholarship 2021-22

• Visit the official page of the National Scholarship Portal and Click “New Registration”.
• Before applying read the guidelines and click “Continue”.
• Then select your scholarship category.
• Provide all the details including your bank detail as well.
• Select Aadhaar or Bank Account number as your registration detail and register yourself.
• Log in using your OTP details.

Note- Information on the application form once registered will not be changed.

What are the selection criteria?

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit of the academics.

• Scholarship announcement date: 16th August 2020
• Scholarship closing date: 20th January 2021
• Last date for defect verification: 05th February 2021
• Last date for Institute verification: 05th February 2021

Important Information

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are failed in their present class will not be considered for any renewal.
