ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious SC/ST Students 2020, Eligibility Criteria, Last Date & Apply Online

ONGC Scholarship is meant for those SC/ST category students who are pursuing 1st-year undergraduate or postgraduate courses from a well-recognized institution. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is the regulating authority of this scholarship. Through this scholarship, the meritorious students will be financially supported for pursuing professional degree courses in the field of engineering, medical, business administration, geology, and geophysics.

Around 1000 students will be benefitted from this scheme. The scholarship has been distributed zonal-wise in 5 zones i.e. North, East, North-East, West, and South. The number of scholarships in each zone is 200.

Eligibility Criteria for ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious SC/ST Students 

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must 

• Be an Indian national.
• Be pursuing the 1st year of undergraduate engineering and MBBS program and master’s program in business administration (MBA), geology and geophysics.
• To be eligible for B.Tech and MBBS program, students must have passed the 12th examination with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Those who are pursuing PG courses in business administration, geology and geophysics are required to pass the graduation with at least 60% marks.
• The family annual income of the applicant must not exceed INR 4.5 lacs per annum.
• The maximum age limit for availing this scholarship is 30 years as on 1st November 2020.

ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious SC/ST Students Reward:

• Each selected candidate will receive INR 48,000/- per annum until the completion of the program.
• The numbers of scholarships for engineering, MBBS, MBA, master’s in geology/geophysics are 494, 90, 146 and 270 respectively.
• Note: 50% of scholarships are reserved for girl’s candidates.

• Class 10th mark sheet/birth certificate
• Class 12th mark sheet in case of engineering or MBBS
• Graduation mark sheet in cased of MBA/master’s in geology or geophysics

• PAN Card
• Bank details of the applicant

Important Dates Of ONGC Scholarship to Meritorious SC/ST Students:

The application form of this scholarship has been released. The last date to submit the duly completed application form is 15th October 2019. The result will be declared by the end of March 2019.

Selection Procedure Of ONGC Scholarship:

Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic performance. For continuation of the scholarship, students have to maintain a satisfactory performance of 50% marks in each annual examination.
