Post Matric Scholarship for Disabled, Maharashtra 2020 invites all the disabled students of Maharashtra state to apply and enjoy the privilege of this scholarship. The scholarship is granted by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Govt of Maharashtra to disabled students who want to take up their higher studies. The scholarship is given to the students who are blind, hearing impaired, low vision, mentally retarded, orthopedically handicapped, mentally ill, and leprosy cures. The main objective is to encourage education among disabling making their life much more positive and independent.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Disabled 2020 Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a domicile holder of Maharashtra.
- Studying in Class 11th to post-graduation. E.g. H.S.C Degree, Technical, Professional. Medical and engineering etc.
- Should have a minimum of 40 % disability.
- Have passed the previous class.
- It is to be noted that there are no income criteria.
Post Matric Scholarship for Disabled, Maharashtra Rewards 2020
Rewards details are as follows
Maintenance Allowance -
- For Group A- (degree course like medical, engineering, agriculture, veterinary, postgraduate degree course) - Scholarship per month for hosteller is INR 1200 and Day Scholar INR 550.
- For Group B (Diploma Course in medical, engineering, agriculture, veterinary) - Scholarship per month for hosteller is INR 820 and Day Scholar INR 530.
- For Group C (PG in arts, science, commerce, and a diploma in professional education)- Scholarship per month for hosteller is INR 820 and Day Scholar INR 530.
- For Group D (Second-year degree course) - Scholarship per month for hosteller is INR 570 and Day Scholar INR 300.
- For Group E (11th,10th, and 1st-year-degree course)- Scholarship per month for hosteller is INR 380 and Day Scholar INR 230.
Reader Allowance for low vision and blind students
- Students belonging to groups A, B, and C will get INR 100 p/m.
- Students belonging to group D will get INR 75 p/m.
- Students belonging to group E will get INR 50 p/m.
- Study tour expenses will be reimbursed INR 500 p/a.
- Project typing expenditure is INR 600 p/a.
- The tuition fee will be approved by the related authority.
