Applications of Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Punjab have been started for the academic year 2020. This scholarship is being offered by the SC BC Welfare Department, Government of Punjab. Students who have successfully passed Class 10th examination and pursuing studies Class 11th onwards can apply for this scholarship. The purpose of this scheme is to encourage and financially help the students of scheduled castes in pursuing studies at post-matriculation or post-secondary level.

Eligibility Criteria Post Matric Scholarship For SC Students

The basic eligibility needs which students have to fulfill to apply for this scheme are

• This scholarship is open for the Punjab domiciled students belongs to the scheduled caste (SC).
• Only those students whose family income is up to 2.5 lacs per annum are eligible to apply.
• To avail the scholarship, it is necessary for the students to pursue post-matriculation or post-secondary courses from a recognized institution.

Reward of Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students 2021

• The awardees will receive several benefits which include maintenance allowance, study tour charges, reimbursement of non-refundable tuition fees, book allowance for students pursuing studies through correspondence, thesis typing/printing charges for research candidates and additional allowance for students with disabilities.
• The maintenance allowance given to the selected candidates is different for hostellers and scholars. Also, it will be given as per the course opted by the students. The maximum limit of maintenance allowance is INR 1200/- per month and the minimum limit is INR 230/- per month.
• Blind scholars will get the reading allowance of up to INR 240/- per month. 
• Students pursuing technical and professional courses will receive the study tour charges of INR 1600/- per annum.
• Research scholars will get thesis typing/printing charges of up to INR 1600/-.
