Post-Matric Scholarship For Students With Disabilities 2022: Eligibility, Application Form, Rewards & Last Date

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India is offering Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2020. This scholarship is being offered to those students who are physically disabled and pursuing studies of post-matric level (class 11th to post-graduation). It is an initiative particularly for physically challenged students to encourage them for higher studies so that they can secure a dignified place in society.

Post-Matric Scholarship For Disabled Students 2022-23 Eligibility

In order to apply for this scholarship, students have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• Students pursuing studies of class 11th to post-graduate level from a recognized board/institution can apply for this scheme. Those who are pursuing studies through correspondence/distance learning can also apply.
• To apply for this scholarship, it is necessary for the students must have more than 40 % disability.
• Only those candidates can apply whose family annual income is less than 2.5 lacs per annum from all sources.

Post-Matric Scheme For Students With Disabilities Reward 2022

There is a total of 17,000 scholarships sanctioned for this scheme. The benefits offered to the selected candidates are as follows:

• Day scholars will get the maintenance allowance of up to INR 750/- per month and hostellers will get up to INR 1600/- per month (depending upon the course/group).
• Reimbursement of up to INR 1.5 lac per annum for non-refundable fees will be given to the scholars.
• All the scholars will get the disability allowance of up to INR 4000/- per annum (depending upon the type of disability).
• Also, a book allowance of INR 1500/- per annum will be given to the selected students.

2. Click here to register online.
3. Now, select the scholarship name, state of domicile, scheme type, and fill all the basic details required to register.
4. Also, enter bank details and residential address.
5. Verify your mobile number through OTP and proceed towards the rest of the form.
6. At last. Don’t forget to note down the system generated user ID/application ID for further correspondence.

All the aspirants are informed that the online application of Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2021 has been started soon. The application form will be available for 1st June to 31st July..

Selection Procedure

The selection of the students for this scholarship scheme will be based on a merit basis. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks percentage of candidates in the previous examination. In case, there is a tie then, tie-breaking will be done on the basis of disability percentage (more disability candidates will get preference). If this tie-breaking not works, then students with more age will be selected.
