Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students is offered by the Education Department, Chandigarh administration. The scholarship is offered by the OBC community who is a permanent resident of UT, Chandigarh for studies in India under the government of India Scheme. The main aim of the scholarship is to offer financial assistance to the students of the OBC category for their higher studies.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students 2020 Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must belong to the OBC community.
• Must be a permanent resident of UT, Chandigarh.
• Applicants must be pursuing postgraduate courses in medicine.
• Family income should not be more than 1 lakh P/A.
• Students studying in the class of the higher secondary school courses or the 12th class of multipurpose high school are not eligible for this scholarship.
• However, students joining professional courses after 10th is eligible for the scholarship.

Rewards of the Scholarship

• Under this, students will get maintenance allowance up to INR 350 P/M and INR 750 P/M to hostellers.
• Readers charge up to INR 175 P/M for 10 months.
• Study tour charge /thesis charge and printing charge up to INR 1000P/A.
• Book Allowance of INR 900 P/A.
