Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2021 for Minorities is being offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities 2021 Scheme is available for students studying in class 11th, 12th, and above, including courses like ITI, etc. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme For Minorities 2021 is awarded to students for studies in India in government or private schools or institutions/ colleges. The main purpose of introducing a minority scholarship online scheme is to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the minority community in pursuing higher education.

Post Matric Scholarship Means is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme provided by State Govt & UT administration. It offers financial assistance for Scheduled Caste students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education

Check out the following eligibility details for Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities:

  • The student must belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians/ Parsis).
  • Students pursuing class 11th, 12th, and above courses including ITI, UG, PG, and doctoral level courses can apply for this scholarship scheme.
  • The applicant must be secured a minimum of 50 % marks in the previous final examination.
  • The family income of the applicant does not exceed INR 2 lacs per annum.

Post Matric Scholarship Rewards (Amount) 2021

Post Matric Scholarship Rewards A total of 5 lacs scholarships will be awarded to the eligible students. The selected students will receive financial assistance in the admission/ tuition fee and also get maintenance allowance as given below for minority scholarship online:

  • Class 11th and 12th students (both day scholars and hostellers) will get the admission fee and tuition fee of INR 7,000/- PA.
  • Students pursuing technical and vocational courses of Class 11th and the 12th level will get the admission fee and tuition fee of INR 10,000/- PA (for both hostellers and day scholars).
  • For UG and PG level courses, the admission and tuition fee provided is INR 3,000/- PA (both hostellers and day scholars).
  • For class 11th and 12th including technical and vocational courses, today's maintenance allowance for scholars and hostellers is INR 230/- PM and INR 380/- PM, respectively.
  • For UG and PG courses (other than technical and professional courses), today's maintenance allowance for scholars and hostellers is INR 570/- PM and INR 300/- PM, respectively.
  • For M.Phil and Ph.D. courses, today's maintenance allowance for scholars and hostellers is INR 1200/- PM and INR 550/- PM, respectively.


Note:
In each minority community, a 30 % scholarship is earmarked for girls of a respective state/ UT. In case of non-availability of female candidates, then these scholarships will be transferred to the male candidates of that state/ UT.

  • Self Declaration of minority community certificate.
  • Self-attested copy of previous academic mark sheet
  • Scanned copy of Aadhar Enrollment or Aadhar Card
  • Income certificate issued by designated state/ UT authority
  • Proof of bank account in the name of the student or joint account with father/ mother

Students can follow these simple steps to apply for Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2021

  1. Students can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
  2. Click Here to register for the scholarship.
  3. Fill in all the requisite details including domicile of state, name, mobile number, gender, email ID, select scholarship category, scheme, etc.
  4. Also, enter your bank details including bank account number and IFSC code.
  5. After successful completion of registration, students will get an OTP in their registered mobile number.
  6. Verify your mobile number and proceed further for filling the post-matric meaning application form.
  7. Enter all the details carefully.
  8. At last, note down your user ID/ application ID and password for further use.

Selection Procedure Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

Fresh Candidate: The selection process for the national pre-matric scholarship of the eligible students will be purely made based on their financial status and family income. If the family income of two or more applicants is the same then, DOB will be taken into consideration i.e. an applicant possessing more age will be preferred.

Renewal Candidate: The students will be eligible for pre matric and post matric scholarship renewal of the scholarship if he/ she obtained 50% in the previous year’s examinations in the same course & at the same college/ institute.
