Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students Assam is offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. This scholarship is meant for the Assam domiciled students studying at the post-secondary level. Students pursuing studies of class 11th onwards can apply for this scholarship scheme. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to the students belonging from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category so that they can complete their higher education.

Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students Reward:

• The scholars will get several benefits which include maintenance allowance, study tour charges, reimbursement of non-refundable tuition fees, book allowance, thesis typing/printing charges for research candidates and additional allowance for students with disabilities.
• The maintenance allowance given to the selected candidates will depend upon the course that the student is pursuing. The maximum limit of maintenance allowance is INR 1200/- per month and the minimum limit is INR 230/- per month.
• Blind scholars will get the reading allowance of up to INR 240/- per month. 
• Students pursuing technical and professional courses will receive the study tour charges of INR 1600/- per annum.
• Research scholars will get thesis typing/printing charges of up to INR 1600/-.

• To be eligible for this scholarship, firstly students must belong to Assam state.
• Only ST category candidates can avail of this scholarship.
• Students studying class 11th, class 12th, graduation, and post-graduation will be eligible to apply.
• The family income of the applicant should not be more than INR 2 lacs per annum.
• Applicants must not be holding any other scholarship/financial assistance.
• Students pursuing studies through correspondence can also apply.
