Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship for VJNT/SBC/SC Students, Maharashtra 2019 | Eligibility, Last Date, & Application Form

Maharashtra Government gives many scholarships and aids to promote educational and economic interests of Scheduled Castes Students, Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections in the state. Under the Maharashtra Government, the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance works for the people and particularly for the SC and ST community students and protects them from social injustice and any forms of exploitation.

To encourage Schedule Caste Community Students to go complete their studies after primary the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance under Govt. of Maharashtra has launched the Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship 2019 and invited the applications from meritorious students who belonged to VJNT/SBC/SC communities and currently studying in between Class 5th to 10th. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to motivate students of backward classes for education.

Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship For VJNT/SBC/SC Students Reward 2019

The successful students of Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship for VJNT/SBC/SC Students, Maharashtra 2017-18 will get the Scholarship amount as mentioned below

• SC student from class 5th to 7th - Rs.50 permonth (Rs. 500 for 10 months)
• SC student from class 8th to 10th  - Rs. 100 permonth (Rs. 1000 for 10 months)
• SBC student from class 5th to 7th  - Rs. 200/- Per Annum
• SBC student from class 8th to 10th  - Rs. 400/- Per Annum
• VJNT student from class 5th to 7th  - Rs. 200/- Per Annum
• VJNT student from class 8th to 10th  - Rs. 400/- Per Annum 

Eligible Criteria For Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship For VJNT/SBC/SC Students 2019

• Any student who belongs to the SBC/VJNT/SC category.
• Any student who is studying in between class 5th to 10th. 
• Any student who has secured at least 50% or more in his/her previous year’s examination. 
• Any student who has stood first or second in the previous class.

Note: The income of the applicant’s parents is not a restraint to apply for this scholarship.

• Complete your Aadhaar authentication process 
• You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
• Fill all the required details and complete the registration process
• Log in with your username or password you have created
• Complete the application process to apply for the scholarship

Important Dates

The last date to apply for the Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship is 1st March 2019. 

Mandatory Note & Policies

The student must have to present the below mentioned required documents in process to apply for the Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship:

• Aadhar Card
• Bank Passbook Photocopy
• Marksheet for last appeared examination
• Domicile Certificate
• Having a mobile number registered with Aadhaar card is mandatory for an applicant in the process to ensure complete his/her registration.
• The headmaster/principal of the applicant’s school is required to submit a proposal to concerned District Social Welfare Officer, Zila Parishad through Block Education Officer after the application is filled by the student.
• For students of Mumbai, the proposals should be submitted to the Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Mumbai.
