Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class IX and X)- Assam 2020-21

Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students, Assam is offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. This scheme is especially for the students who are studying in class 9th and 10th. The scholarship is only for the domicile holders of Assam and is from the SC category. The main target of this scholarship is financial support to the candidates who are from the underprivileged section of society. Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for this scholarship you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Must be pursuing full-time studies in class 9th or 10th.
• Family annual income should not be extending more than INR 2.5  lakh P/A.
• Must be from the Sc category.
• Must not be receiving any other scholarship benefits. 
• Must be studying in a government school or school authenticated by the state/central board of secondary education or by the government. 

Rewards

The selected candidates of Pre Matric Scholarship for SC  students will be rewarded -

• A scholarship amount of INR 225 per month for day scholar and INR 525 per month for hostellers for 10 consecutive months.
• Books and ad hoc grants of INR 750 P/A day Scholars and INR 1000 P/A for the students living in the hostels.
• INR 240 per month is also given for the students with a disability who are studying  in a private college  

How to Apply?

To apply for Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students, Assam by following the given steps below- 

• Visit the NSP portal and  Click on “New Registrations”
• Select your state and scholarship.
• Fill all the important details further mentioning bank details. 
• Once your mobile number will be verified, an  OTP will be generated.
• Login by using OTP and fill the complete application.  
• Use your registration ID for further processing.

• Authorized  Category certificate 
• Income certificate verified by parents/guardians. 

Deadline to Apply
