Pre Matric Scholarship for ST students, Assam is offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. This scheme is especially for the students who are from class 9^th and 10^th. The scholarship is also applicable for the candidates who are domicile holders of Assam and belongs to ST category. The main aim of the scholarship is to offer financial assistance to the students who are economically weak sections of our society. The scholarship has helped with the drop our rates of class of transition from elementary to the secondary stage.

Eligibility Criteria For Pre Matric Scholarship To Scheduled Tribe Students

To apply for this scholarship you need to  meet the following eligibility criteria :

• Must be a regular full-time student of class 9^th or 10^th.
• Must have an annual income not exceeding INR 2 lakh P/A.
• Belong to ST category.
• Not be getting any centrally funded scholarship.
• Must be in a government school or school recognized by the government or state/central board of secondary education.

Rewards Of Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme For ST Students 2020

The selected candidates of  Pre Matric Scholarship to ST students will get benefits like :

• A scholarship cost is INR 150 per month for day scholar and INR 350 for hostellers for 10 months.
• Books and ad hoc grant price is INR 750 P/A day Scholars and INR 1000 P/A (for hostellers).
• A student with disabilities studying in private unaided schools is also included.

How to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students?

To apply for Pre Matric Scholarship for ST students, Assam you need to follow the mentioned steps:

• Click on “New Registrations”
• Select the state and scholarship and fill all the details.
• Mention the bank details.
• Mobile number will be verified and OTP will be generated.
• Login using OTP and fill the complete form.
• Use your application ID for future references.

• Prescribed Application Form
• Passport size photograph
• Category certificate signed by an authorized Revenue Officer.
• Income certificate
