Pre Matric Scholarship to ST students is a strong initiative taken by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment running in various states of India. In this article, we have mentioned the Pre Matric Scholarship for ST students, Gujarat. The main aim of this scholarship is to support ST students for their wards studying in class IX and X. This way rate of drop out will be minimized and students are getting a better chance of progressing Post Matric stage of education.

Eligibility Criteria For Scholarship For Scheduled Tribe

• Students belonging to Schedule Tribe.
• His /her parents/guardian’s Income should not exceed more than INR 2 lakh P/A.
• She/he must not be getting any other scholarship.
• Applicant must be a regular, full-time student studying in Government School or in a school recognized by a govt. or a central /state board of secondary education.
• Scholarship for studying in any class will be given for only one year. If the student has to repeat a class, she/he would not get a scholarship for that class for the next session. 

Rewards Of Pre Matric Scheme For ST Students 2020

The selected students of Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Gujarat will be given the following rewards:

• Scholarship for 10 months – Day scholar- 150, Hostellers -350
• Books and ad Hoc grant -  Day scholars- 750, hostellers – 1000

How to Apply For Pre Matric Scholarship For ST Students Gujarat 

Students who find themselves eligible for Pre Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Gujarat must register through Digital Gujarat Portal. Follow the mentioned steps to apply. 

Registration Process

• Register through the official Digital Portal of Gujarat.
• The existing users can login with their existing password and E.mail ID.
• Meanwhile, new users can enroll through a click on “New registration”.  
• New users can log in with various credentials such as email ID, phone number or Aadhaar number.
• New users are required to provide relevant information and save it.
• Once all the information is saved, an OTP will be sent to provide a mobile number.
• Enter OTP to complete registration.

Profile Update

To update your profile, applicants need to fill all the information on the “Profile Update page”. They also required uploading the most recent passport-sized photographs.

Scholarship Application

• Once the profile has been updated, candidates should log in to their account and enter the dashboard.
• • Select the scholarship they want to apply.
• Before those candidates are asked to select their application language.
• Instructions will be given and candidates are required to read them carefully.
• Next, click on “Continue Service”.
• Fill the mandatory information.
• Scan all required documents and upload them.
• Once done, submit your application.
