Prerana Post Matric scholarship 2021-22 is provided by the Government of Odisha. PRERNA (Post-matric Scholarship Registration Release and Network Automation) is a web-based portal that makes the process of application receipt, processing, and disbursal of scholarship simple and fast. PRERNA Scholarship 2021-22 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who aspire to get enrolled in the Prerana Scholarship 2021-22, need to understand the eligibility criteria in detail. - Students who belong to ST/ SC/ OBC/ SEBC/ EBC category can only apply for this scholarship.
- The candidate's family income with including all income sources should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh per Annum.
- They should not hold any agricultural land in the state or outside the state.
- Students should have done their schooling in govt school only, private school students are not eligible for such scholarship.
- Students belonging from OBC/SEBC category must have a family income of not more than 1 lac.

Prerana Scholarship 2021 is an initiative of the Odisha state government, started with the objective to provide financial support to all young talented students of Odisha. It is started by the state govt with an objective to support all under the prevailed sections of society. Students need to attach a valid caste certificate along with the prerana scholarship application. A caste certificate can be obtained from the District Magistrate or from the concerned authority.
They should hold a valid family income certificate. A family income certificate can be obtained from the concerned state department. They should not hold any agricultural land in any part of the state. Apart from the annual income, students also need to clear their last exam with a minimum of 50% marks. The family income of the EBC category does not exceed INR 1 lac per annum. Such candidates must study higher education in government institutions. Prerana Scholarship Renewal for EBC is applicable to the general category only.

Q1. What is the last date for submitting Prerana Scholarship applications online?
Ans- Students can submit their application forms by 22 February 2021. For the exact date of submission, students must follow the official website.
Q2. Whether I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?
Ans- This is the most common myth, Students can submit their online application form in multiple sitting. Students need to register first on the official website. They will get a username & password on their mobile. With the use of a system-generated username & password, students can submit the prerana scholarship application form in multiple sitting.
Q3. Can I edit the information already saved in the system for filling the application form?
Ans- Students need to remember their username & password, as they need to enter username & password, whenever they want to edit the application form. Till the time you don’t “LOCK’ your application form, one can do all modifications. Once you lock the application form you won’t be able to do any sort of modification.
Q4. What details I have to fill up in the Enrollment details of the Application form?
Ans- The enrollment column is for putting all the information related to previous & current academic records.
- The enrolment Number column is for putting the Roll number of the course/ Branch in which students are enrolled.
- The enrolment date column is for putting the Date of Admission of the First year of your enrolled Course/Branch.
- In the Admission Date for Which Year you are applying for Scholarship column enter the Date of Admission/ Re-admission in the Current year of your enrolled Course/ Branch. (only in case of Students of the First-year this date will be same as Enrolment date)
Q5. How should I forward the Application to the Institute?
Ans- Once you have completed the application form, do the final edit if it's required then you can click on the “Edit-Lock-Print” option, You need to click on the lock button and forward the application to the institute.
Q6. Should I apply again for a renewal of the Scholarship (Registered Applicants)?
Ans- Renewal of Prerana Scholarship for the academic year, will be done by Institute. Students have to inform Institute about your “Adhar Card Number”, “Caste certificate issuing authority” to be entered in application details. Students have to communicate to the institute if there is any change in the Mobile number, Address for Correspondence, Bank Account details have to be communicated to the Institute.
Q7. How can I apply for a Scholarship, if I haven’t availed of it in the first year of the course?
Ans- Only 1st-year students can do submit their application form for Prerana Scholarship. Students who are in their 2nd Year can not apply for this scholarship.
Q8. What happens, if I detect mistakes after forwarding the applications to the institutes?
Ans- You can contact to institute and explain the mistakes. Institute has the power to correct /edit information at its level.
Q9. How can I edit the entries, which are not editable at the Institute level?
Ans- If you have detected any mistake which can not be corrected at the institute level, then you have to request the Prerana Scholarship 2021-22 nodal officer to “temporarily reject” the application by explaining the mistake in the application form. Once your form will be temporarily rejected then it will appear in the system at the applicant level. You can log in to the system by username & password and edit your form and submit again.
Q10. What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?
Ans- If you do not find your institute name in the list, then you must contact to institute & request them to contact the District Welfare Officer (DWO) of the District of that particular area. They need to institute an enrollment form & there will get included.
Q11. What if I forget my Applicant ID/ Password?
Ans- You need to open the website & look for Registered Student Log-in box. Click on “Registered students: Recover your password”.Fill in the same mandatory fields, which you have put at the time of form filling i.e like your Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and e-mail Id. The system regenerates the Password and you will get it on your registered mobile number through SMS.
Q12. Can I take a print-out of my application at any stage?
Ans- Students can take the printout of the application at any point in time.
Q13. Whether I have to scan the certificates and upload them to the system before forwarding the online application to the institute?
Ans- All the certificates need to scan & upload before forwarding the application form. Prerana website has the facility to upload the scanned copy of the Certificates i.e Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, High School Certificate, and Handicap Certificate (if any).
Q14. What is to be done after submitting the online application?
Ans- Once you have submitted the online application, you must take the printout of the prerana online application form. The printout will with a barcode sig on it. After taking the printout students need to sign & submit it to the institute along with the request.
Q15. What all documents I have to submit with the printout of the application?
Ans- Along with the printout of the application students need to submit the following documents.
- A-Original Caste Certificate.
- B-Original Income Certificate.
- C-Copy of 10th Certificate
- D-Copy of the first page of Bank Passbook (showing IFSC Code of the Bank & Bank Account Number)
- E-Handicap Certificate (if any)
Institute would verify the original certificates & return back to the students.
Q16. How to check the status of my application?
Ans- To Check the application status, students need to log in and click on “ Edit-Lock-Print Application” . after that you need to select the “Track Status” option. Through this, you can check the prerana scholarship's current status.
Q17. What should I do, if, by mistake, I select and forward my application to the wrong institute?
Ans- You need to approach the prerana scholarship nodal officer and request him to temporarily reject the application. Once it is temporarily rejected it will be again made available at the applicant level. Now you can edit and make the necessary correction. Once you are done you again need to lock & forward to the institute.
Q18. What should I do, if, by mistake, I select the wrong category and apply for the wrong Scheme?
Ans- In this case, you need to inform the institute & request them to permanently reject the application status. You must make the fresh application again with the correct category & course.
Q19. How can I apply for a scholarship, if I am a student of the Institute, located outside Odisha?
Ans- In this case, students need to download the form Download from the “Download” option of the Prerana Scholarship Portal. You need to dully fill and submit the filled application at the Institute, with all the required documents mentioned in the application form. Institute will take the required process and send the application form to the District Welfare Officer(DWO) of the native District of the Student.
