Scholarships for Top Class Education for students with disabilities offered by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. This scholarship aims to provide full financial support to students with disabilities pursuing graduate or post graduate level degree or diploma from notified institutes of excellence in education.

Scholarships For Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities Eligibility 2020

The eligibility conditions which students have to fulfill to apply for this scholarship are as follows

• A candidate must be pursuing graduate/ post-graduate/ diploma level programs from notified institutes of excellence in education.
• The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed 6 lacs per annum.
• The disability percentage of the candidate must be more than 40 % and he/she must have a valid certificate for that.

Scholarships For Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities Reward

Following are the benefits which will be provided to the scholars

• Selected candidates will get the reimbursement of tuition fee and non-refundable charges paid to the institute of up to INR 2 lacs per annum.
• Maintenance allowance of INR 1500/-per month will be given to the day scholars and INR 3,000/-per month to hostellers.
• Special allowances (regarding disability type) of INR 2,000/-per month will also be given to awardees.
• Also, students will get reimbursement of INR 30,000/- (one time) for the purchase of a computer with accessories. 
• Other allowances include books and stationery (INR 5,000/- per annum).

How To Apply For Scholarships For Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities Form

There is only an online process to apply for this scholarship.

1. Click here to register online.
2. Now, enter all your basic details, select scholarship name, scheme category, etc.
3. Students also need to enter bank account details such as bank account number and IFSC code.
4. After clicking on the register button, candidates will receive OTP in their registered mobile number.
5. Verify your mobile number and fill the rest of the application form.
6. Submit all the details correctly.
7. At last, note down your application ID/user ID for future references.

Documents Required While Applying In Scholarship Scheme Are

• Age proof certificate
• Disability certificate
• Fee receipt of current course year
• Bank account details
• Mark sheet or certificate of the previous academic year
• Photograph of the applicant
• Income certificate issued  by the competent authority

Terms & Conditions

• 50 % of the total scholarships are reserved for female candidates.
• The duration of the scholarship will be two/ four/ five years as per the tenure of the course. However, it will be renewed year by year.

Important Dates    

The application form for this scholarship scheme 2020 has been started. The last date to submit the filled-in application form is 31st Oct 2020.

Selection Procedure

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit. Student’s performance in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list.
