Sir Syed All India Essay Writing Competition 2020, Last Date, Eligibility, Form
Sir Syed All India Essay Writing Competition 2020 is conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The competition is conducted in the English language on the topic “Importance of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s Thought on Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence in Today’s World”. Candidates who are the bonafide student of a University or a college can participate in this competition. There is no entry fee for an essay writing competition and the applicant has to send the article in both soft copy and hard copy.
Eligibility Criteria For Sir Syed Essay Writing Competition
The eligibility required to participate in this competition is as follows:
- A candidate must be a bonafide student of a University or a college.
- Students of up to 12th class are not eligible to apply.
Rewards of Sir Syed All India Essay Writing Competition 2020
- The first prize winner will get an amount of INR 25,000/-, the second prize winner will get INR 15,000/- while the third prize winner will get INR 10,000/-.
- The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will also get AC-II class railway fare along with boarding and lodging facilities at the University.
- The toppers of the state level will be awarded an amount of INR 5,000/-.
- State toppers will receive prize money and certificates by post.
How To Apply For Sir Syed All India Essay Writing Competition
The details regarding the application process of Sir Syed All India Essay Writing Competition is given below:
- Applicants have to submit the hard copy and soft copy of the essay along with the required documents.
- The essay must be written on A4 size paper, typed in double space on one side containing around 3000 words.
- Students have to send the essay along with a bonafide certificate from the College /University and a separate sheet containing correspondence address, contact number and Email ID of the participant, duly forwarded by the Head of the Institution to the below address:

- The handwritten essay will not be accepted.
- The soft copy of the essay must besent via email at amuessaycompetition@gmail.com. Candidates must write the “Essay Writing Competition” in the subject while submitting it by email.
Important Date
Students can now apply for this competition. The last date to submit the essay is 30th September. The prizes will be distributed on the occasion of “Sir Syed Day” i.e. on 17th October.
Selection Procedure
The selection of the students will be done on the basis of their performance in the essay competition. Students have to secure a minimum of 40 qualifying marks out of 100 to pass the competition.
