Symbiosis Society Foundation provides sports scholarships to the dedicated and bonafide sports students studying at Symbiosis International University (SIU).  Eligible students will be selected based on their excellence in sports at state, national and University levels. This scheme aims at realizing the achievements and excellent performance of young sportspersons in respective games. Application form for Symbiosis Society Foundation Sports Scholarships 2018 has been available from 1st June 2018.

Eligibility for Symbiosis Society Foundation Sports Scholarships 2020

In order to apply for this sports scholarship, students have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• Both prospective and bonafide sportsperson of SIU can apply for this sports scholarship.
• A candidate who wants to apply for this scholarship must be proficient in any of the sports discipline

Priority Disciplines - Shooting, Table-Tennis, Volleyball, Cricket, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Gymnastics, Hockey, Tennis, Swimming, Wrestling, Squash, Basketball, Football.
Other Disciplines - Boxing, Equestrian, Golf, Chess, Billiards & Snookers, Kayaking & Canoeing, Powerlifting, Softball, Judo, Weight Lifting & Best Physique.

Symbiosis Society Foundation Sports Scholarships Reward 2020

• Selected candidates will receive INR 2,000/- per month for a period of 12 months (i.e. INR 24,000/- per annum).
• The scholarship will be awarded for a period of one year. 
• A total of 5 scholarships will be awarded to the eligible candidates.
• However, the scholarship will be renewed only if a student improves/maintains excellence in respective sports along with passing the last annual examination without any backlog.

• Also, attach the passport size photograph and the supporting documents including photocopies of the press cuttings and the certificates, duly authenticated by the respective State Association or the Principal of respective school/college.

Selection Procedure

Students will receive the scholarship based on their sports performance in recognized competitions held between the previous 2 calendar years. The applicant can apply only in one discipline in which he/she has achieved the highest performance between the previous 2 calendar years. The selection committee scrutinizes the applications and selects candidates on the basis of their performance and merit.
