Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Post-Matric Scholarship 2025 is an initiative by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat for students belonging to Scheduled Tribes studying in class 11 to post-graduation courses. Umbrella Scholarship aims to offer financial assistance to encourage the ST students to pursue higher education. Students can avail the benefits of this scholarship based on their performance in previous examinations. Umbrella Scholarship provides post matric and pre matric scholarship. Umbrella Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• This scheme is available only for Gujarat bonafide students, studying inside or outside the state.
• In order to apply for this scholarship, a student must belong to the ST category.
• A candidate's family income must be less than INR 2,50,000/- per annum.
• Candidates studying in class 11 to postgraduate courses will be eligible to apply for this umbrella scheme scholarship.
• A candidate who wants to apply must not be a repeater in the same class.
• Candidates who are pursuing their studies through correspondence can also apply

Umbrella Scheme Scholarship Online Application 2025

To apply for Umbrella Scholarship 2025 follow the below steps:

• Go to the official National Scholarship Portal website.

• Click on New Registration
• Fill in the required details
• Provide bank details 
• Select identification (Aadhar number/Bank account number).
• Click ‘Register’ and verify your mobile number.
• Review the details before submitting.
• Submit only one application. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
• Save the application ID and password for future reference.

For Renewal of Scholarship

• On the NSP homepage, click on Renewal Login with the login year.
• Enter your application ID and password, along with the captcha code.
• The renewal form will open. Fill in the renewal details and click ‘Submit’.

For Checking Scholarship Sanctioned List

• On the NSP homepage, go to the Registration section.
• Click on Scholarship Sanctioned List.
• Fill in the required details 
• Click Submit to view the sanctioned list.

• School/college current year bonafide certificate
• Self-attested certificate of academic mark sheet of the previous year
• Income certificate
• Passport-size photograph of the applicant
• School leaving certificate
• Hostel certificate (for hosteller students)
• Domicile certificate
• Thesis typing/printing bill (in case of MPhil, Ph.D., D.Litt, D.Pharm, D.Sc students)
• Disability certificate (in case of disabled persons)
• The first page of the bank passbook
• Self-attested copy of Aadhar card
• Self-attested caste certificate issued by the competent authority
• Fee receipt of current course year

Terms and Conditions for Umbrella Scholarship 2025

For Umbrella Pre-matric Scholarship:

• The scholarship is for one year only. Repeating the same class means no scholarship.
• It’s disbursed for 10 months in an academic year.
• Renewal for Class 10 depends on good conduct and attendance in Class 9.
• Benefits can be changed by the Government of India anytime.
• If received dishonestly, the scholarship will be canceled and the amount recovered.

For Umbrella Post-matric Scholarship:

• Scholarships are for education in India only.
• The scheme helps States/UTs set up book banks.
• Benefits can be changed by the Government of India anytime.
• If received dishonestly, the scholarship will be canceled and the amount recovered.
