Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Post-Matric Scholarship 2024 regulated by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat. Students studying in class 11 to post-graduation courses are eligible to apply for Umbrella Scheme Scholarship. The government has started this scheme to encourage the scheduled tribes of the community for pursuing higher education. 

Umbrella Scheme Scholarship Gujarat 2024: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Umbrella Scheme Scholarship, aspirants have to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• This scheme is available only for Gujarat bonafide students, studying inside or outside the state.
• In order to apply for this scholarship, a student must belong to the ST category.
• A candidate's family income must be less than INR 2,50,000/- per annum.
• Candidates studying in class 11 to postgraduate courses will be eligible to apply for this umbrella scheme scholarship.
• A candidate who wants to apply must not be a repeater in the same class.
• Candidates who are pursuing their studies through correspondence can also apply.

Umbrella Scheme Scholarship Online Application

In order to apply for the scholarship, students have to follow the given below steps

• Only online applications are invited for this scholarship.
• Candidates can apply online by accessing this link 
• To apply for this scholarship scheme, firstly students have to complete the registration process.
• To register, click on the “New Registration” button.
• Now, candidates have to log in by entering their registered email ID and password in the prescribed spaces.
• Fill in all the details in the application form and upload all the required documents.
• Finally, submit the application form for the umbrella scholarship.
• Don’t forget to take the printout of the confirmation page for further references.

Umbrella Scheme Scholarship 2024 Rewards

• Umbrella Scheme Scholarship 2024 Rewards Fees for enrolment/ registration, tuition, games, Union, Library, Magazine, Medical Examination and such other fees compulsorily payable by the scholar to the University/Board or Institution
• Get the charges of Study tours up to a maximum of INR 1,600 per annum &
  Thesis typing and printing charges up to a maximum of INR 1,600 for the research scholars
• Maintenance charges allowance up to Rs 1,200/- per month to hostellers and Rs 550 PM. Annual allowance of Rs 1,200 for essential/ prescribed books, besides reimbursement of course fees to students pursuing correspondence courses.

• Self-attested certificate of academic mark sheet of the previous year

Important Dates For Umbrella Scholarship

Selection Procedure In Umbrella Scholarship 2024, Gujarat

Students will get selected for the award of this scholarship on the basis of their performance in the previous examination. The number of scholarships awarded to the selected candidates will depend upon the availability of funds.
