The government of West Bengal, Backward Classes Welfare Department releases the applications for West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students. This pre-matric scholarship is available for the West Bengal students studying in Class 9th and 10th. The aim of this scholarship is to help the students in pursuing school education without facing any financial problem. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India implements this scholarship scheme.

To avail this scholarship, a student must

• Be the citizen of India and belong to West Bengal state.
• Belong to the scheduled caste/scheduled tribe category.
• Be the student of class 11th and class 12th.
• Have the family annual income less than INR 2 lacs per annum.

• Aspiring candidates can fill the application form via online mode.
• In order to apply online, firstly candidates have to visit the official website
• Afterward, click on the “Student’s Registration” link under the student’s corner.
• Choose your respective district and start the registration process.
• After successful registration, login your account by clicking on “Registered Student’s Login”.
• Candidates can login by entering details like User Id, password, district, and captcha code.
• Now, complete your application process and enter bank account details.
• At last, submit the form and take the printout of filled-in application.
• Send the printed copy of the filled-in application form along with the required documents to the respective block/municipality.
